Gwernymynydd Community Council

Welcome to the website of the village community council. We hope that you will comment about the site or about any matter that relates to life in the village by contacting the Clerk or the chair of the council whose contact details are listed below.

The Gwernymynydd community council consists of elected members representing all of the people in the village. The council seeks to represent the views and concerns of the residents of the village and seeks to identify local needs and priorities. The Village Centre produces a free monthly newsletter that is delivered to each home and work has started on preparing the Gwernymynydd Development Plan which will set out a vision and a direction for the future.

The community council meets ten times a year on the last Thursday of each month (with the exception of August and December). The meetings, which begin at 7.15pm, are held in the village community centre and members of the public may attend. Those who have a opinions about particular matters under consideration are invited to contribute to the debate although the right to vote is restricted to elected members.
